Many people who suffer from substance abuse also have a co-occurring mental health disorder. This condition, frequently known as dual diagnosis, requires treatment of both addiction and the co-occurring problem. At our luxury rehab center, our dual diagnosis alcohol and drug rehab is experienced in treating clients with both a substance abuse problem and a mental health disorder, such as depression or anxiety.
People who suffer from substance abuse are often self-medicating a co-occurring condition without realizing it. For example, someone who suffers from depression or social anxiety disorder might come to rely on alcohol; another might turn to prescription drugs to self-treat chronic anxiety or ADHD. Regardless of the circumstances, addressing both substance abuse and the co-occurring disorder at the same time improves the likelihood of sustaining a life-lasting recovery, and the experienced staff at luxury dual diagnosis rehab is qualified to treat both.
Abusing drugs and alcohol — as well as recovering from addiction — usually results in certain symptoms that can make identifying a true dual diagnosis challenging. For example, for several months following detox, people recovering from substance abuse often report depressive and anxious symptoms. At our luxury rehab center, the progressive treatment modalities we use help us differentiate between those suffering from a true dual diagnosis versus someone who is feeling the aftereffects of substance abuse. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, for example, examines the reasons why a person began using drugs and/or alcohol. It also teaches our clients how to recognize and avoid the thought and behavior patterns that typically precede self-destructive behavior. Should a true dual diagnosis exist, our medical staff will provide the appropriate pharmacological interventions.
At our luxury rehab center, we focus solely on the specific needs of each individual client with a customized care regimen that includes a range of physical, psychological, and spiritual treatment modalities. In addition to psychotherapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, our clients also benefit from Fitness Training, Family Therapy, Nutrition education, Music and Art Therapy, Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, and more. These treatments remind our clients that living a satisfying and fun lifestyle does not need to include substance abuse. Our clients also work with a Life Coach who teaches the skills necessary to avoid temptation and remain committed to abstinence in the world outside rehab. Following residential care, each client participates in a custom-tailored Aftercare program that assures our continued involvement in sustaining lifelong sobriety.
Before any extended treatment planning can begin, many clients at our dual diagnosis rehab center require a period of detox in which we can assess their overall mental health. Our detox center is limited to six clients at a time, and it involves constant medical supervision to monitor withdrawal symptoms in a safe environment. Once detox has been completed, we can properly assess a client’s mental well-being and, if necessary, begin with dual diagnosis rehab.
The twin stigmas of addiction and mental illness are two of the biggest hurdles a client in a dual diagnosis rehab center faces, both during and after treatment. Our dual diagnosis inpatient treatment center guarantees the confidentiality of our clients all times. Through one-on-one counseling by our dedicated and discreet staff, and an atmosphere of acceptance, we give our dual diagnosis rehab clients the tools they need to begin their journey along the road to recovery.

“When you go to treatment, you expect that most of what you're told is exaggerated. You expect the facility to be nice, but not quite how the center describes it - in this point, I was mistaken, it actually exceeded my expectations. You expect the therapy to be good, but not spot on with addressing your needs - in this point, I was again mistaken, as it also exceeded my expectations. Clarity Way has been an excellent experience for me and for my family - the individual time was key for my recovery and to assist my family so that we could move forward together. I can't speak highly enough of the therapy team, the medical staff and the support staff. Across the board, everyone was wonderful and motivating in the ways that were appropriate for me.”
